Invitation Letter

Dear Colleagues,

We are very pleased to invite you to attend the 12th International Workshop on Cardiac Arrhythmias - VeniceArrhythmias 2011 - which will take place in Venice, Italy from 9-12 October 2011.

Since its first edition in 1989, the congress has been expanding rapidly, gathering in 2009 more than 3,000 participants coming from over 60 countries and becoming one of the most acknowledged and prestigious platform for professional development and networking in the field of cardiac arrhythmias.

The attentive and affectionate participation to the event of some of the most internationally recognized experts in the field of clinical arrhythmology, electrophysiology and cardiac pacing has resulted throughout the past editions in the establishment of dedicated and experienced scientific and program committees. In close collaboration with the most important scientific societies, these committees have worked with us to produce this stimulating, multidisciplinary and up-to-date scientific program that we are pleased to launch in the present booklet.

In line with the earlier editions, all the aspects of cardiac arrhythmias, from epidemiology, to pathophysiology, natural history, diagnosis, prognosis and treatment, will be simultaneously dealt with in 11 different rooms by over 350 invited speakers. A great amount of time will be dedicated to live cases sessions, video-presentations, and interactive sessions. Unresolved and controversial issues will be the subject of several debates. A variety of session types - from abstract-driven presentations to symposia - will meet the needs of various participants.

Moreover, in addition to corner sessions directly prepared by the most prestigious scientific societies operating in the field of cardiac arrhythmias - like HRS and EHRA-ESC - the 2011 edition of the congress will feature brand-new geographic corner sessions prepared by different countries' experts to reflect the expansion of research throughout the world.

Last but not least, the marvellous city of Venice will offer you an unique natural, artistic and historical atmosphere that will certainly encourage socialization and friendship among faculty and delegates.

We trust that the scientific level of the program and the extraordinary location of VeniceArrhythmias 2011 will stimulate you to come numerous to Venice and to actively participate in a meeting that has become a classical appointment of arrhythmology worldwide.

Looking forward to personally welcoming you in Venice.
