The birth of VeniceArrhythmias dates back to 1989, thanks to the imagination of its President, Antonio Raviele.
His aim was a simple - if extremely ambitious – one: to organize a biannual workshop providing its attendees with the highest scientific standard in the field of cardiac arrhythmias – rich with several sessions, discussions and themes – and to do it in one of the most breath-taking location in the whole world: Venice.

A highly-specialized medical meeting + a wonderful venue + a charming location... it may seem the perfect combination: but the real challenge was not only that of accomplishing the task, but to do it in the best possible way.

Obviously enough, quality did make the difference – like it always happens.
Venicearrhythmias rapidly grew to become one of the most renowned workshops in the world, thanks to the determination and constant commitment of its creator and of all the ones who effectively played their role in the event’s staff throughout the years.

Since its first edition, our meeting has continuously grown to reach quite impressive figures. In fact, perspectives for the 2009 edition are really impressive:  we expect more than 3000 participants coming from over 60 different countries.

But beside the highly-appreciated maximum quality and outstanding level of the scientific program, VeniceArrhythmias has always provided its attendees with those key features that have come to represent the added value of the workshop itself: an ideal occasion for discussion and socialization, where new friendships are born an old ones are strengthened – a place and event where to know each other, to exchange ideas, to spend some brilliantly intense days immerged in a beautiful atmosphere – thanks also to the astonishing setting provided by the marvellous Congress Venue – the Giorgio Cini Foundation, a magnificent work of art offering the right location to emphasize the workshop’s own social objectives.

...and we haven’t finished yet: there’s Venice. The breath-taking background of the most beautiful city in the world functions as a marvellous scenario for our workshop – year after year. The charm of this unique city – with its sights, monuments, channels, colours – is aptly represented in the Social Program – providing special occasions to taste the uniqueness of the Venice experience – with classical music concerts held in imposing ancient settings and the Gala Dinner, a truly exquisite and elegant moment to fully enjoy this fascinating atmosphere.
